QUESTION:

What do the scholars and muftis of the mighty Shari’ah say regarding the following matter, if a non Muslim sends some food for iftār, so can one do iftār (eat) from this?

ANSWER:

Besides meat, the offerings of a non-Muslim which are pure and halāl (lawful) to eat, are permissible for you to do iftār from.

Furthermore, it’s stated in Fatawā ‘Ālamgirī

There is no issue in (eating) the food from a Majūs (fire worshipper) except slaughtered meat.
